Health authorities are urging visitors to singing rooms to follow antivirus rules to prevent the further spread of COVID-19.
An assembly ban imposed on such facilities nationwide more than a month ago was lifted Monday, allowing them to reopen amid a slowdown in coronavirus infections.
Health ministry spokesman Son Young-rae reiterated during a press briefing Tuesday that it's easy for the virus to spread in singing rooms and called on owners to adhere to social distancing rules.
These establishments must still limit the number of customers in one room to four, regardless of size, and disinfect and ventilate rooms regularly.
Singing rooms were linked to multiple cluster infections last year.
