Many regions were hit with heavy showers early Friday, accompanied by strong winds and even thunder and lighting.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, while showers were expected to taper in the capital region during the morning hours, other areas could continue to experience wet weather through the afternoon.
But once the rain clears, bad air quality is expected.
Fine dust levels are forecast to rise due to yellow dust blowing in southern Mongolia and northern China.
Necessary precautions should be taken when outdoors.
