Heat wave alerts remain in place Monday as most regions will see temperatures soar to the high 30s under clear, sunny skies.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, daytime highs will range between 29 and 37 degrees Celsius.
The mercury in Seoul is expected to peak at around 36 degrees.
Health officials warn against outdoor activities during the peak afternoon hours and recommend drinking plenty of fluids and staying cool indoors as much as possible to avoid heat related illnesses.
