The forecast shows cloudy skies and sporadic showers will linger through the middle of the week.
Most regions on Monday were expected to get hit by scattered showers through the evening.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, 5-60 millimeters of rain was expected.
Despite the wet weather, heat wave advisories remained in place for most areas in the central and western regions, while heat warnings continued in areas down south and along the east coast.
Similar weather, including rain, is in store through Wednesday.
