Authorities on Jeju Island are on high alert over the possible spread of the coronavirus as hundreds of thousands of people traveled to the vacation hotspot during the Chuseok holiday.
According to the Jeju Tourism Association, over 250,800 people visited the island from last Friday through Wednesday.
The government has expressed worries of another spike in cases in areas outside the capital region, including Jeju, after the holiday.
Earlier, Second Vice Health Minister Kang Do-tae urged all those who traveled during Chuseok to get tested for COVID-19.
