Korea Baseball Organization officials meet to discuss start of new season
The Korea Baseball Organization has decided to again postpone the start of the 2020 season to late next month amid concerns over the further spread of COVID-19.
The KBO said after a meeting Tuesday that the new season will not begin before April 20.
Games were scheduled to start Saturday.
Meanwhile, the South Korean men's pro-basketball season has been cut short.
The outbreak forced a mid-season cancellation for the first time in the league's 23-year history.■
