Pro baseball in South Korea is now being broadcast live around the world through networks linked to American sports cable giant ESPN.
The secretariat of the Korea Baseball Organization said Thursday games are being livestreamed in 130 countries in Europe, the Americas, the Middle East and Africa.
ESPN started broadcasting Korean baseball games in the United States on May 5, after striking a deal with Eclat Media Group, a company with international distribution rights to KBO matches.
The move came as Major League Baseball has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The KBO said it will continue to promote Korean baseball to the world.
