Lee Mi-rim has captured her first LPGA major championship.
The 29-year-old South Korean won the ANA Inspiration on Sunday in Rancho Mirage, California, with a stunning chip-in eagle at the 72nd hole in a playoff with Canada's Brooke Henderson of Canada and Nelly Korda of the U.S.
It was her fourth career LPGA win and first since 2017.
Lee, ranked No. 94 in the world, is the second straight South Korean to take home the ANA Inspiration trophy.
World No. 1 Ko Jin-young, who took first place last year, chose not to defend the title this week due to the coronavirus pandemic.
With Lee's victory, South Korea has now produced an LPGA major champion for the 10th straight season, dating back to 2011.
