South Korean female golfers will vie this week to take the U.S. Women's Open for a third straight year.

The second major tournament of the LPGA season will kick off Thursday at The Olympic Club in San Francisco.

World No. 1 Ko Jin-young, No. 2 Park In-bee and third ranked Kim Sei-young will be among a pack of 20 Koreans that will hit the course.

This year's star-studded field will also include other big names like Nelly Korda, Lexi Thompson, Lydia Ko and Michelle Wie West.

Defending champion Kim A-lim is also looking to take home this year's trophy.

Fellow countrywoman Lee Jeong-eun won the competition the previous year.

The 2021 U.S. Women's Open will run through Sunday.
