South Korea lost to Japan 2-5 Wednesday night in the semifinals of the baseball tournament at the Tokyo Olympics.
But it doesn't mean the end of the country's run.
In the tournament's knockout stage, teams play under a double-elimination format.
South Korea, now in the loser's bracket, will play the United States for another chance to reach the final.
The U.S. also kept its gold medal hopes alive Wednesday by defeating the Dominican Republic 3-1 in a repechage game.
South Korea and the U.S. will face off at 7 p.m. Thursday.
If the Korean team loses again, it will be sent to the bronze medal match against the Dominican Republic.
