The South Korean women's national football team held world No. 1 United States to a scoreless draw Thursday in the first of two friendlies.
On the Korean side, goalkeeper Yoon Young-geul made key saves during the match in Kansas City, Kansas.
The draw snapped the U.S. home winning streak at 22 matches.
The last time the American team failed to claim victory at home was also against South Korea, a 1-1 draw in October 2019 in Chicago.
Ranked 18th, South Korea has never beaten the U.S. in women's football in 14 meetings, with four draws and 10 losses.
The two teams will meet again next week in St. Paul Minnesota.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday local time, or 9 a.m. Wednesday Korea time.
