Busan will host the world table tennis championships in May 2024.
The International Table Tennis Federation made the announcement Wednesday, during its annual general meeting in Houston, Texas.
The southeastern port city had been scheduled to host the competition in 2020.
But the event was postponed multiple times before being canceled altogether due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Busan launched another bid for the 2024 championships in May and defeated Buenos Aires in a 97-46 federation vote.
