Doctors Without Borders
The United Nations Security Council committee on sanctions against North Korea has recently approved applications submitted by two aid agencies for humanitarian activities in the country.
According to its website, the committee gave the green light to the Doctors Without Borders and Swiss Humanitarian Aid Unit.
With the approval, the two agencies can bring to the North items required for emergency medical support and repairs to a drinking water supply system.
The sanctions exemptions will remain valid for six months until July 7th this year.■
