North Korea’s health officials are holding a meeting on the Chinese coronavirus.
North Korea is stepping up efforts to prevent the spread of the Chinese coronavirus by cancelling flights to Beijing and temporarily restricting foreigners from traveling to China.
The Rodong Sinmun reported on the virus, calling for caution among North Koreans.
It added that media outlets in many countries have reported that its potential impact on the world economy could be greater than that of the SARS outbreak in the past.
Meanwhile, the Russian Embassy in Pyongyang announced in a Facebook post yesterday that an Air China flight between Pyongyang and Beijing would be canceled until February 10.
The British government also said on its website that North Korean authorities have temporarily banned travel of foreign residents to China.■
