North Korean medical staff holding a meeting on COVID-19
North Korea has tightened its customs-related quarantine measures amid the spread of the novel coronavirus across the world.
According to the North's state newspaper Rodong Sinmun, all goods arriving at North Korea's ports or passing through border bridges will be kept at isolated areas for 10 days and be fully disinfected before being delivered.
The decision comes after its border sharing countries China and South Korea are reporting a surge in the number of COVID-19 infections.
Meanwhile, the newspaper reiterated that there's still not a single confirmed case of the virus yet in North Korea.■
