North Korean medical workers screen foreign nationals amid virus concerns
North Korean state media has reported that quarantine measures placed on 221 foreigners over coronavirus concerns has been lifted.
According to the Korean Central News Agency on Friday, they were among around 380 foreign nationals who were put under quarantine to prevent an outbreak of COVID-19 in the country.
It did not elaborate on who they were.
Some media reports have said that foreign diplomats were released earlier this week after a month of isolation in Pyongyang.
The North has not reported any confirmed coronavirus infections, but there continues to be speculation it might be concealing an outbreak.■
