A worker disinfects a quarantine ward in North Korea
North Korea continues to maintain that it has no confirmed cases of COVID-19.
The World Health Organization, which said it has been receiving regular updates from Pyongyang's health ministry, told Reuters Tuesday that the regime is continuing testing and has more than 500 people in quarantine, including two foreigners.
The WHO said the North has the capacity to test coronaviruses in its national reference laboratory in Pyongyang.
In February, North Korea tightened its border with China and later expanded the mandatory quarantine period for people at high risk to 30 days.■
