A 2.5 magnitude earthquake rattled North Korea early Thursday.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the tremor was detected around 2:20 a.m., some 5 kilometers east-northeast of Songnim in North Hwanghae Province.
This is the second temblor to hit Songnim this year.
The South Korean weather agency said it was likely a natural quake, adding tremors often occur in this area.
