A 2.2 magnitude earthquake was detected early Friday in the northeastern region of North Korea.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the temblor hit 26 kilometers east-northeast of Jangjin in South Hamgyong Province around 2:41 a.m.
The South Korean weather agency said its analysis showed the tremor was a natual earthquake.
