- In a recent phone interview with Yonhap News Agency, Attorney Michael Choi who represents the Association for the Pacific War Victims, revealed that during a meeting with a visiting US lawmaker, the Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama told him that he was willing to compensate the Koreans who suffered under Japanese colonial rule during World War II.
