[Opening]
In this week's look at the local box office, the latest film from the "Pirates of the Caribbean' franchise is now in cinemas.
Movie critic Jason Bechervaise gives us more details in this report.
[Report]
Jack Sparrow is back in the multiplexes as "The Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man Tells No Tales" aims to repeat the success of the other films in the franchise.
Johnney Depp returns as the eccentric Sparrow and is joined by Javier Bardem, Brendon Thwaites and Geoffrey Rush while Orlando Bloom and Kiera Knightley have cameos.
Currently topping the reservation chart in Korea, it should do decent business in Korea. The previous instalments have also performed well, both locally and globally.
But the release of the film again underscores the reliance of franchise and reboots by the Hollywood studios. As the Netflix debate rolls on, some are pointing out that the streaming giant are financing original content, something the studios are less keen to do.
Meanwhile, also on release in Korea is the documentary "Our President", a film produced by the Jeonju Film Festival about the late Roh Moo-hyun, which is looking to replicate the success of similar themed "Moo-hyun: The Story of Two Cities" that pulled in 193,000 viewers late last year.
