The global convenience store chain 7-Eleven has opened its 71,100th store in South Korea.
Operator Korea Seven said Thursday the opening is meaningful given the "711" figures in the branch's number.
The new store is located in Bangbae-dong in southern Seoul.
7-Eleven is headquartered in the U.S. state of Texas and opened its first location in Dallas in 1927.
Currently, the company operates in 18 countries.
The first store in South Korea opened in Seoul's Songpa District in 1989.
