The creative director of the opening ceremony for the Tokyo Olympics has been dismissed, a day ahead of the event.
Organizers said Kentaro Kobayashi was sacked over past comments about the Holocaust.
They said the ceremony is being reassessed.
The BBC's Alex Capstick reports from Tokyo.

It's emerged that he made a joke about the Holocaust in 1998.
This is when he was a comedian.
He was part of a comedic group.
But this clip was circulated online.
It was spotted by the Simon Wiesenthal Center, the Jewish human rights organization based in the U.S.
Complaints were made.
So, Mr. Kobayashi has been forced to resign.
It has set plans for the opening ceremony into chaos.
Currently, the current plans are going to have to change.

Earlier this week, composer Keigo Oyamada, whose music was to be used at the ceremony, was forced to resign because of past bullying of his classmates.
The segment of his music will not be used.
