Pandemic related restrictions will be partially eased at popular beaches in Busan this summer.
The Haeundae and Songjeong beaches are scheduled to open on June 1.
But Haeundae District officials said umbrellas will not be set up on the shore and there will be no float tube rentals.
Measures will be in place to reduce crowds and promote social distancing to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Other beaches in the southern port city, such as Gwanganli, Dadaepo, and Imrang, are expected to begin welcoming visitors on July 1.
