South Korea aims to bring home at least seven gold medals from the upcoming Tokyo Summer Games, according to Seoul's Sport & Olympic Committee.
Committee President Lee Kee-heung told reporters Wednesday the country's goal is to be included in the top 10 in overall medal standings like the past four Summer Olympics.
The comments came as the countdown to the coronavirus-postponed event reached 100 days.
Lee said health authorities are in the process of determining a schedule for Korean Olympians to be vaccinated, adding they could begin sometime this month.
The Tokyo Olympics are set to open on July 23.
