≡ Ruling Party, Govt, Cheong Wa Dae To Discuss Minimum Wage Hike Fallout
The government, Cheong Wa Dae and the ruling Democratic Party will hold a meeting tomorrow to discuss the fallout from a decision to hike next year's minimum wage.
This past weekend, the labor ministry's Minimum Wage Commission decided to set next year's minimum wage at 8,350 won per hour, up nearly 11 percent from this year.
Officials from the ruling bloc are expected to consider extending financial support to small businesses that are feared to be hard-hit by sharply increasing labor costs.■
