The two Koreas have agreed to completely restore their military communication lines during their first general-level military talks in more than a decade.
According to their joint statement yesterday, they also discussed ways to demilitarize the Joint Security Area on a trial basis.
They held the talks on the northern side of Panmunjom in line with the April inter-Korean summit declaration, which calls for joint efforts to alleviate military tensions and "practically eliminate the danger of war."■■
