An ambulance is leaving the Yokohama port where the Diamond Princess cruise ship is docked.
Japan says the number of people who have tested positive for the new coronavirus on a quarantined ship off Japan's coast has risen to 355.
According to Japanese Health Minister Katsunobu Kato on Sunday, 70 new cases have been confirmed on the virus-hit Diamond Princess cruise ship on Sunday, 38 of which showed no apparent symptoms.
He said officials have so far conducted tests for about one-third of passengers on the vessel.
The new figures came as the United States was preparing to evacuate some of its citizens from the cruise ship, while other countries including Canada and Hong Kong are planning similar moves.■
