Diamond Princess cruise ship
Crew members from a coronavirus-stricken cruise ship off Japan are beginning to leave the quarantined vessel.
A Japanese health ministry official said 240 crew members are getting off the Diamond Princess today, and the disembarkation will continue for a few days.
They will then be placed under medical observation for 14 days at government-designated dormitories before obtaining permission to leave Japan.
Thousands of passengers were quarantined for some two weeks after the ship arrived at a port near Tokyo on February 3.■
