South Korea has reported its ninth coronavirus-related death.
The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said in its daily update on Tuesday morning that the latest victim was a female pneumonia patient who died in Daegu.
She was hospitalized Sunday, tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday and died overnight.
The KCDC also confirmed 60 additional coronavirus patients, bringing the total number of cases in the country close to 900.
At least 49 of the new cases are in Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province.
Seoul and Gyeonggi Province have confirmed two and five more patients, respectively, while the port city of Busan added three.
So far, 22 patients have made full recoveries.■
