a community treatment center for new coronavirus patients with mild symptoms
The government is set to open six more community treatment centers for new coronavirus patients with mild symptoms.
Kim Gang-lip, deputy head of the Central Disaster Management Headquarters, said in a briefing on Friday that the facilities will accommodate 1,600 patients with non-severe symptoms.
Kim said the facilities that have opened so far have admitted 765 patients.
The move comes as a preventive measure against the growing number of deaths from COVID-19 infections due to a lack of hospital beds.■
