S. Korea confirms 7,755 infections and 60 COVID-19 related deaths
South Korea has reported six more COVID-19 related deaths and 242 additional cases of infection.
The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on Wednesday in its daily briefing that the death toll stood at 60 and the total number of cases nationwide at 7,755, based on confirmed figures from Tuesday.
Among the latest cases, 131 were in Daegu, 18 in North Gyeongsang Province and 52 in Seoul, marking the largest daily increase in the capital.
The virus recovery figure rose to 288 after 41 more patients were discharged from hospitals.
Health authorities have so far tested more than 214,000 people for the disease.■
