South Korea has reported 104 new cases of the novel coronavirus bringing the nationwide total to 9,241.

The figure marked the 15th consecutive day there were 100 or fewer new infected patients.

Health authorities said 57 were people who recently arrived in the country, marking the second day in a row that imported cases exceeded daily domestic infections.

This comes after the government began implementing stricter entry procedures on all travelers to prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said five more people also died from the virus the previous day, raising the death toll to 131.

So far, 4,144 people in South Korea have made full recoveries.■
