S. Korea preparing for parliamentary elections in April
With the general elections less than three weeks away, the two-day candidate registration period has kicked off.
The National Election Commission is accepting applications for the parliamentary elections and by-elections Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at its offices nationwide.
Registered candidates will be allowed to begin full-pledged campaigning from April 2 for 13 days before voting opens on April 15.
Candidates' pledges, assets, military service records, criminal records, academic career and tax payments will be disclosed on the NEC website until the day of the elections.■
