A COVID-19 patient is being hospitalized.
South Korea reported 91 new coronavirus cases on Friday, bringing the nationwide total to 9,332.
This is the 16th consecutive day there were around 100 or fewer daily new infections.
The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said among the latest cases, 34 were in Daegu, nine in North Gyeongsang Province, 12 in Seoul and 11 in Gyeonggi Province.
It also confirmed eight more virus-related fatalities, raising the death toll to 139.
Health authorities continue strict measures to contain community spread of the virus and prevent it from re-entering from overseas.
So far, 309 imported cases have been detected, 31 involving foreign nationals.
Meanwhile, 4,528 patients in South Korea have fully recovered from COVID-19.■
