Education Minister Yoo Eun-hae has tried to reassure parents that their children are safe from the novel coronavirus at schools nationwide.
During a videoconference with parents Friday, Yoo said officials are prepared in case of a virus outbreak at schools.
She noted that many parents could've been concerned after a series of domestic infections were reported during the start of face-to-face classes last month.
Yoo then thanked parents for assisting their children with distance learning despite the difficult situation.
