Health Minister Park Neung-hoo says the coronavirus situation in South Korea is still precarious.
He made the remark Monday at the start of a daily meeting of the Central Disaster Management Headquarters.
While noting that the daily number of new patients has been under 100 for the past four days, Park stressed a majority of those with COVID-19 in the country are elderly people.
He added that more than 80 related fatalities have been reported in September alone, accounting for about one fifth of total deaths.
