South Korea has reported 47 additional cases of COVID-19 and two more deaths.
The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency on Friday said 41 new local transmissions were confirmed as of midnight and six imported from abroad, bringing the cumulative total to 25,035.
The death toll reached 441.
While the daily number of new cases fell sharply from the 110 recorded Thursday, health authorities are staying alert and vigilant over cluster infections amid eased Level 1 social distancing nationwide.
In particular, they are closely monitoring an outbreak of more than 50 coronavirus cases from a convalescent hospital for seniors in the southern city of Busan.
The KDCA said the number of seriously or critically ill COVID-19 patients in the country came to 85, up three from a day earlier.
The virus recovery figure jumped by 98 to 23,180.
