The World Health Organization has praised South Korea for its coronavirus response.
In a tweet written in Korean Tuesday, Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said Korea was able to bring COVID-19 under control by following public health guidelines.
He also thanked President Moon Jae-in for his leadership and expressed appreciation for Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha and Health Minister Park Neung-hoo's cooperation.
Dr. Tedros posted an English video with the tweet, which featured an interview with Minister Kang about how the country has dealt with the infectious disease.
