New U.S. President Joe Biden is expected to unveil his administration's plans to tackle the coronavirus pandemic.
During his first full day in office Thursday, Biden will look to move quickly on coordinating a national plan to combat COVID-19, which has killed more than 400,000 Americans.
During his inaugural address on Wednesday, he called for unity to overcome the global health crisis.
Hours later at the White House, he hit the ground running, signing a flurry of executive orders, including requiring the wearing of masks and social distancing in all federal buildings and on federal land.
Biden also challenged all Americans to wear a mask for the first 100 days of his administration.
In addition, he walked back on his predecessor's plan to withdraw the U.S. from the World Health Organization.
