South Korea has reported 355 additional cases of COVID-19 and two more virus-related fatalities.
Daily new cases stayed below 400 for the second straight day Monday, apparently due to less testing over the weekend.
According to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, 388 local infections and 17 imported cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours, pushing the total caseload to 90,029, with 1,605 deaths.
Health authorities remain alert over a continued rise in cluster infections at workplaces, hospitals and risk-prone facilities ahead of the start of the spring school semester.
To bolster the fight against the virus, coronavirus vaccines are being administered to frontline medical workers and patients under the age of 65, while Level 2 social distancing rules for the greater Seoul area and Level 1.5 rules elsewhere are enforced for another two weeks.
