Microsoft Korea announcing an end to Windows 7 support
From January 14th, Microsoft's Windows 7 will no longer be supported.
This means that while users can still run the operating system, which was first launched in 2009, they will not be able to receive bug fixes or updates.
Microsoft announced the move last year in an effort to focus on supporting newer technologies.
The tech giant said if people continue to use Windows 7, their PCs will be at greater risk for viruses and malware, recommending users upgrade to Windows 10.
tbs eFM News will air a more detailed special report on the support discontinuation tomorrow.■
