North Korea is stepping up efforts to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus into the country.
The Rodong Sinmun reported today on quarantine measures taken by the central and provincial governments, including tests on those who have returned from overseas trips and goods imported from other countries.
Pyongyang International Airport has also taken preventive measures conducting checkups inside airplanes.
North Korea is also reportedly keeping all foreigners arriving in the country via China isolated for up to one month and temporarily suspending all air and train routes between the North and China.
There has been no report of a confirmed case of the new coronavirus yet in North Korea.■
