For the 11th straight year, the European Union has banned North Korea's state air carrier from its airspace.
The latest EU Air Safety List, posted Friday on the European Commission's website, restricts all Air Koryo planes, with the exception of two Russian-made TU-204 aircraft, from operations in member states.
The commission said the airline failed to meet international safety standards.
Planes of nearly 100 carriers from dozens of countries, including Iran, Libya and Sudan, are also prohibited from flying in EU airspace.
