The coaching staff of the men's national football team will conduct its final inspection of domestic league players this weekend before they assemble the squad for next month's FIFA World Cup in Russia.
An official at the Korea Football Association said head coach Shin Tae-yong and his staff will attend the K League 1 match between FC Seoul and Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors at Seoul World Cup Stadium on Sunday.
Earlier this week, South Korea unveiled its 28-man provisional roster for the World Cup - half of them play for the K-league.
The team is scheduled to begin training on Monday to prepare for the two World Cup tune-up matches at home - Honduras on May 28th and Bosnia and Herzegovina on June 1st.
Shin will have to cut five players from his tentative roster before announcing his final roster.■
