South Korean figure skaters You Young and Kim Ye-lim both finished in the top 10 following the women's short program Tuesday at the Beijing Winter Olympics.
You, who successfully landed a triple axel jump and skated a clean program, placed fifth out of 30 skaters with a score of 70.34.
Kim finished 9th with a score of 67.78.
Kamila Valieva of the Russian Olympic Committee, who was cleared to compete despite a positive drug test, topped the list and was followed by fellow Russian teammate Anna Shcherbakova, who scored 80.20 points.
Two-time Olympian Sakamoto Kaori of Japan came in third with a score of 79.84.
The free skate is set for Thursday at 7 p.m. KST.
