South Korean women archers topped the individual ranking rounds Friday at the Tokyo Olympics.
An San, Jang Min-hee and Kang Chae-young clinched the first, second and third place spots, respectively.
An also set an Olympic record with a score of 680, overtaking Ukrainian archer Lina Herasymenko's record of 673 points set 25 years ago at the Atlanta Olympics in 1996.
The men's individual ranking round was scheduled to open at 1 p.m.
Since the modern archery competition was introduced at the 1972 Olympics, South Korea has won 23 gold medals, more than all other countries combined, and 39 medals overall in the sport.
