South Korean boy band BTS launches ‘Connect, BTS’ art exhibition with 22 artists
South Korean boy band BTS has launched a series of art exhibitions in collaboration with 22 contemporary artists from around the world ahead of its new album release next month.
The project called "Connect, BTS" will exhibit artworks that cohere to the group's philosophy of love, connection and diversity.
It will hit five cities -- London, Berlin, Buenos Aires, Seoul and New York -- and end in March.
The exhibition at the Serpentine Gallery in London kicked off Tuesday with Danish artist Jakob Kudsk Steensen's digital recreation of an ancient forest, titled "Catharsis."
The show is set to open in Berlin on Wednesday, in Buenos Aires next Tuesday, in Seoul on January 28 and in New York on February 4.
The seven-member K-pop group is scheduled to release its new album, "Map of the Soul: 7," on February 21.■
