Bong Joon-ho's "Parasite" won the top prize for best editing at the 70th annual American Cinema Editors Eddie Awards.
Yang Jin-mo, editor of the South Korean black comedy thriller, won the trophy at a ceremony Friday in Beverly Hills, California.
In his acceptance speech, Yang thanked Bong for letting him edit the film as well as all the actors and crew.
He said, "It's such a huge honor to be nominated such amazing honors, and I'll do my best to work on great films with great directors."
Since winning the top prize at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival, "Parasite" has continued its remarkable awards-season run, collecting a number of prizes from U.S. film critics associations and bringing back home best foreign language film at the Golden Globe Awards.
"Parasite" has also earned six Oscar nominations and is the first South Korean film to compete for best picture and best international feature film at the upcoming Academy Awards.■
