The Korea Baseball Organization says seating restrictions at games that have been in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19 will soon be relaxed.
The KBO said Monday that up to four fans, who are part of the same group, will be allowed to sit next to one another without having to be spaced out.
However, it will be up to individual clubs to decide when the social distancing rule will be loosened.
Currently, spectators must sit at least one seat apart, even if they are family members or friends.
The revised seating rule will apply to all professional baseball game venues with the exception of the Gocheok Sky Dome, home to the Kiwoom Heroes, which is a domed stadium.
